ISP students shined at the end-of-year Talent Show, exemplifying the IB Learner Profile attribute of risk-takers as they performed for their fellow elementary schoolers. From stand-up comedy and card tricks to an array of musical and dance numbers, students showcased their skills beautifully! Bravo to our performers, and thanks to teachers Katie and Peter for hosting this event and keeping things running smoothly amidst record participation!

Before fifth graders donned their graduation robes last week, they took part in a final handshaking ceremony, a special ISP tradition where the entire school individually bids farewell to each graduating student as they head off on their new adventures. Their hard work and growth have been inspiring, and we are eager to see what the future holds! We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to departing staff members for their dedication, care, and lasting impact on our school community.

Have a great summer, owls!

In garden class, first graders conducted an experiment to learn about environmental factors that help plants grow and thrive. They collected soil samples from different areas of the ISP garden and campus, comparing them through water flow tests. They gained perspective about different types of soil, as well as an appreciation for the healthy growing environment in the school garden beds—a result of long-term diligent nurturing from our wonderful garden volunteers, teachers, and students!

We were honored to welcome the talented dance team from the National Taiwan University of Sport to ISP as part of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month!

Our students were amazed and inspired by the performers’ energy and athleticism. A huge thank you to our guests and the 大波特蘭台灣同鄉會 Taiwanese Association of Greater Portland for bringing such joy, pride, and artistry to our campus! It was an amazing opportunity to celebrate one of the many cultures that enriches our school community every day.
