Dropping in here to say:

Today was a grey day.
Lethargy was strong.
It took all of my self-discipline and care for my sweet canine to get myself out the door.
And wheeeeweee am I glad I did.
It never ceases to amaze me how much resistance I can have to going outside….and then the second I get out there and start moving my body, no matter what the weather, my outlook and perspective changes almost instantly.
And then I spend much of the walk/hike in deep gratitude for having made it out the door, for this chance to remember, to reconnect, to transform.
The resistance is real. Putting structures in place to support our best selves is a really good idea. And get outside if you can. I promise you will not regret it.

Making my sound meditations always feels like a date with the mystery…I never know quite what is going to emerge. My favorite are the moments when strikingly beautiful harmonies arise that I couldn’t have planned if I tried.
I know this is not unique to me—because this is what the creative process is—courting the Source which moves through us.
It’s an honor (speaking to you, Life) to be able to express love through voice and sound.
It’s also a thrill to share this music that moves me so, and my prayer is that it touches others deeply.

Tightening towards
Tightening away

Today I felt how sometimes when we desire something, there is a reaching out towards it, and a tightening of the body that happens at the same time—I want this thing, man I REALLy want this thing, grab, hold, tighten.
Desire, then, becomes uncomfortable—it can even result in anxiousness or angst.

I also felt how when we want to move away from something, or protect, or guard-against—we tighten our bodies. We don’t want to feel that feeling or experience that emotion/thought/possibility/reality, we resist, we tighten—and thats when it becomes uncomfortable.

It’s because we are tightening our bodies !

So what if::::

We relaxed with desire

We relaxed even with negative or unwanted feelings/experiences.

When we consciously choose to relax, everything becomes muuuuch more maneagable. We can be with all of it, without the increase of suffering.

Let all the feelings be there. Just relax your body ❤️
