The NWCS crew had an amazing time during our recent expedition to Mt. Adams and ECETI Ranch. It was an unforgettable adventure filled with great experiences, plenty of laughs, and a few things we still can’t quite explain.

We look forward to sharing our stories, photos, and experiences with everyone, and we will soon record a special NWCS Into the Dark Podcast episode about our expedition.

Stay tuned. The adventure isn’t over yet.

🌲👣 NWCS Field Report: Natural Bridges — Trout Lake, WA

Today the NWCS crew ventured into the woods near Mt. Adams to explore the Natural Bridges, an ancient lava-tube system where portions of the ceiling collapsed while others remained behind as natural bridges.

A quick disclaimer: we are not certified explorers. 😂

We may have doubled back on ourselves a few times. We crawled over old fallen trees, heard a few noises that we couldn’t quite determine were human, animal, or… “other” 👀 — and at some point Robb apparently decided the group was slowing him down and disappeared ahead of us into the forest.

Naturally, the rest of us eventually caught up.

What we found was absolutely worth the adventure: massive volcanic formations hidden beneath the forest, collapsed lava tubes, natural bridges, caves and some incredible scenery. Knowing that people have been exploring this cave system for more than a century made it even more interesting.

No confirmed Sasquatch sightings.

No unexplained disappearances.

And, most importantly, we left with the same number of NWCS members we arrived with. 😂

Here are a few shots from today’s adventure.

🏔️ NWCS is heading to Mt. Adams! 👽🌲

This weekend, the Northwest Curiosity Society is packing up the gear, grabbing the cameras, and heading into the Mt. Adams wilderness for a little fun, adventure, and—of course—curiosity.

What are we looking for? Well… 👀

🛸 Strange lights in the sky?
🌲 Something large moving through the trees?
👣 A footprint that definitely wasn’t there before?
🔥 Or maybe just some great stories around the campfire?

Mt. Adams has a long history of strange sightings, Sasquatch stories, unexplained lights, and plenty of Pacific Northwest mystery—and we’re excited to experience the area for ourselves.

We don’t know what we’ll find.

But that’s kind of the point. 🔦

If you’ve ever had a strange experience around Mt. Adams, we want to hear about it! Drop your story in the comments. 👇

Stay curious. 🔎
