Dear Irvington Families,
As you may have already heard, Irvington is expecting 63 Kindergarten students next week. Portland Public Schools has made the decision to add a third Kindergarten classroom. The third Kindergarten teacher will be an experienced teacher transferred from another school and we are anxiously waiting to meet them.
The third class will be housed in room 100, just under Ms. Kara’s classroom. The furniture and materials are already set up, but over the next few days our administrative team and district support personnel will be working to get everything out in place. I will continue to post information on our school website page and our page.
Thank you to everyone for your support and advocacy as we navigated this unusual situation. I am looking forward to meeting all of our new students.
Principal Ellwood
