I used Dall-e text to image AI engine to create some graphs related to topics in this page. For example, the following image is after entering "antennas propagation waves visualized". We simulate three different cases of phase and group velocity in this animation. Basically, summation of two sinusoids can create different phase and group velocities for the resulting signal. The first sinusoid for all the cases illustrated here are same (i.e., having the same wavelength, wavenumber and amplitude). The secondary sinusoids are different from each other in terms of their frequencies or wavenumber. When we add those components, then the resulting signals can have either positive, negative or zero group velocities.
