Head Baseball Coach Kyle Wilson reports, "At 7–6, the varsity team is gaining momentum, highlighted by a key sweep over Gaston to open league play. With 19 players in the program, increased JV games are helping build experience. Our highlight of the year so far was our spring break trip to Idaho. It was a great experience for all and something we look forward to doing again in the future. Our goal is to return to the state tournament. This group has the potential to do just that by staying focused and working together." Thanks to Coach Wilson and assistant coach Nolan Helgerson for setting the drive and spirit. Go Royals!!

Well, the marathon ended yesterday, but as a coach, I am once again incredibly proud of the team I was able to coach this year at Portland Christian. I’ve coached a lot of these kids since they were in third and fourth grade, including my son, and to see the success they had here the last four years in high school was incredible. Their ability to grow spiritually in our devotionals before practice each day, their ability to go perform on the court at such a high level, and their ability to get it done in the classroom each year with academic all-state make this an incredible group of kids. A 98-17 record overall, four state playoff berths, three straight state tournament berths, three straight league championships, 47 straight league wins, two state runner up trophies and a 5th place finish are only just some of the numbers these guys have accomplished. The trips, the dinners, the memories and the experiences will last a lifetime. I have no doubt that each one of these seniors along with our younger players will have bright futures beyond high school basketball. We are so appreciative of the support from our families, our school and the community. PC Culture!!

What an incredible run for this group of ladies! Although their season came to an end tonight, this group got more out of their abilities than anybody could ask for, including tonight where they kept within 8 for most of the way before Western finally went on a run to put the game away in the fourth, 49-25. Incredible job ladies, and this is just a start for girls basketball at Portland Christian again.
