Portland Public Schools: Tubman Middle School relocation will not impact MLK Elementary Earlier this month, families rallied outside Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary, urging PPS to take the school out of consideration for a possible relocation site.
This page came to life for former students to talk about their experiences at HTMS. I am from the class of 1988 and loved my time at Tubman.
When I created this page, HTMS was no longer a school. That has since changed and I'm so happy that new students will get to enjoy the school again.
The name has changed to show the years I attended, but any former alumni are welcome to discuss their time here.

I'm a former graduate of HTMS, class of '88. I was part of the first 6th grade class in this new building and I made many wonderful memories here.
I created this page when the school closed, not realizing it would open its doors again. I apologize if there was any confusion or frustration.
Any questions about the school and its current status, attendance, and/or curriculum should be made to the school directly. Please do not post here or send direct messages. I have no association with the school other than being a former student.
If anyone knows if the school would like to take over this page, please let me know. I would be more than happy to relinquish it to them.
