In this class, they will design, build, and test their own balsawood bridges and other various types of bridges and towers as a way to study structural loads. Students will get to take home all of their projects at the end of the program. Aerospace Engineering - Students will utilize the Engineering Design Process to create and build a variety of flying ma-chines. Rocketry is one of the main compo
nents of this class, and students will have the oppor-tunity to construct their very own straw rockets and bottle rockets! Students will also get the chance to design parachutes for a toy jumper. Students will close the program by looking at different forms of air transportation. Mechanical Engineering - This is the discipline of engineering that applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, and maintenance of mechanical systems. Students will learn design and engineering concepts to build sail boats, hovercrafts, roller coasters and other machines with a finale of building an incredibly fast CO2 Dragster that they will get to keep at the end of the program! Electronic Game Design -Students will have the opportunity to create their own video game in this fun, stimulating elec-tronic game design program for kids! We introduce kids to the awesome world of video game creation in a non-competitive, step-by-step process. After learning how to make a game, stu-dents will have a copy of their final project to play at home. LEGO® Robotics - Mindstorms™ -Students will learn to design, program, and control fully functional robotic models. They will use software to plan, test, and modify sequences of instructions for a variety of life-like robotic behaviors. They will also learn to collect and analyze data from the robot's sensors. This pro-gram will provide a series of real-life activities, covering topics within science, technology, engi-neering, and mathematics all using LEGO Robotics.
