It’s that time of the year where we’re getting ready to get out in the watershed for our biggest volunteer day of the year, Watershed Wide Event! This partnership-rich, multi-site day is a chance for folks to get hands on across the Tryon Creek watershed to remove invasively growing plants, plant native trees and shrubs, and do good work to support this special watershed!

Saturday, March 14th, 2026:

Watershed Wide Event – 9am-12pm, multiple locations

Community Pi(e) Day celebration – 12pm, Riverdale High School

Early Release - 2:00 pm

The JMS Winter Band Concert is tonight at 7:00. If you aren't able to attend in person, videos of the concert will be posted over the weekend.

Greetings 8th grade families,

Benson Polytechnic High School is hosting its 8th grade information night on Wednesday, November 20th from 6-8pm. You are invited to take a look at our renovated campus at 546 NE 12th Ave and see everything our school has to offer. We will start with a presentation in the auditorium beginning at 6:00pm; parking is limited so plan accordingly. The open house will begin at 6:30. Slots for the 2024/2025 school year are limited! To attend Benson Tech instead of their neighborhood high school, Portland Public Schools students must enter the lottery. Entry to the lottery opens today, November 13th and closes Monday, December 16th. Please see the attached information sheet for more information about our unique school.
