Sanaya says: Death is not the end. Yes, of course, it is a definition of the end of the functioning of a physical body, but do not equate that which animates the body with the body itself. The body is the outer covering, the temporary suit for the Spirit that lives eternally in all things. For a while, Spirit becomes a soul, and the soul needs a form with which to experience life in this reality you call being human. But the soul is not harmed when the body no longer functions. The soul continues shining as the expression of God. Yes, God. Call it what you wish, but all you see and know is the self-same expression, for all arises from one Source, one Field of Awareness. Yes, even the body. It is a long lineage of love reaching through multiple levels of being. Are you beginning to understand why you are so very loved and why you cannot die?

When a being becomes truth, he reads into the hearts of all beings like an open book. Then a person begins to communicate with all things and all beings. Wherever his glance falls — on nature, on characters — he reads their history, he sees their future. He sees the cause behind the faults people have. While an ordinary person can see the action of another, the seer can see the reason of the action also, and if his sight is still keener, he can see the reason of the person. He knows why an event comes, whence it comes, what is behind it, what is the cause of it, and behind the seeming cause what is the hidden cause; and if he wished to trace the cause behind the cause he could trace back to the primal cause, for the inner life is lived by living with the primal cause, by being in unity with the primal cause.

The biggest obstacle in our lives is that we already think we know who we are. This is why we avoid meditation, inner excavation and self retrospection - because we already "think" we know who we are. In addition, one of our deepest fears is truly seeing ourselves for what we truly are. We would rather focus on all the problems "out there" than all the distortions, contradictions and alter personalities within our own psyche. -Sabrina
