We have several members of our team who will not be returning next year due to a reduction in force and life changes. We know that change is hard. Change can also be exciting and a time of growth.

We wanted to share this information with the broader community so you can share your well wishes with these wonderful people and prepare your children for the next year.

Name/Role:

Sharon Little

Special Education Teacher

Years at Wilkes: 14

Favorite memories at Wilkes:

Always the students!!

Best advice for Our Community:

Be kind to each other.

Give people grace and compassion. We don’t know what other people (staff and students) are feeling inside or what they are going through.

For many of our students' school is their safe place.

Look for the good.

And….. please limit the amount of time students are on electronic devices. That is my number one recommendation for parents. Also, read to your children every night.

We love you and will miss you.

Second grade tissue paper flowers. Students first painted vines and leaves with different shades of green. Next they folded and cut tissue paper to create beautiful flowers. They turned out so vibrant and beautiful!
