Workforce Recognition Payment Program

OCCD still has funding for 2026 for educators that have not yet received a payment.

Q: Do I qualify?
A: Here are the qualifications:
1. Did not receive the payment in 2024 and 2025; if you received it in one of those years,
you don’t qualify for the award in 2026.
2. Currently working (or worked for some time) in an Oregon child care facility or in a
license exempt or recorded program receiving ERDC or as a family, friend, neighbor
care receiving ERDC during 2026.

Oregon Child Care Workforce Recognition Payment Program
In an effort to recognize child care providers across the state of Oregon for their exceptional work, the Oregon Legislature allocated an annual $500 payment to eligible child care providers in 2024 and 2025.

The funding has not been renewed by the Oregon State legislature. The remaining funds will be distributed in 2026 to providers who have not received the payment in 2024 and 2025. The funding will be distributed on a first come first served basis.

Slavic Child Care Provider Conference

Dear Child Care Providers of Multnomah County!

The Child Care Resource & Referral Agency of Multnomah County (CCR&R-MC) invites you to the annual Slavic Conference for child care providers who speak Russian or Ukrainian! The conference will take place on May 14 and will run from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

This year, the event will be held virtually via Zoom, and participation is free of charge. Upon completion of the conference, you will receive 6 hours of training (7 hours including the keynote).
