With honor, we'll celebrate by giving recognition to our mother land & tribes. November 27th, see you all there at the Hollywood Bizarre. Is a time to meet, share and blend our cultural values.

Within this colonial project (USA), we call this Native American Heritage Month but as we indigenize our intentions to acknowledge this heritage month we are aware of Indigenous people worldwide impacted by colonization, thus Indigenous People's Ways of Knowing Month would be ideal.

Native American Heritage Month is a complicated month. It is great to get some attention and continue the larger conversation around colonization here in the United States. This may include discussions and what movements are toward . The discussions around the relationships between the colonized and the colonizer shows in many of the systems of dispossession i.e. blood quantum, pretendian, descendancy, tribal enrollment, federally recognized tribes, state-recognized tribes, unrecognized tribes, rez native, and urban native. During this month the NASCC will continue as we do every month by providing support, study space, programming (within our budget), and also by advancing those conversations and questioning these systems that hinder our continued survival of this colonial project.
