THIS STORY MIGHT JUST TURN YOU INTO A MARQUETTE FAN 💙💛 Since the start of the “NIL era” in 2021, the best college athletes have been finally able to make money off jersey sales and endorsement deals💰

Most walk-ons, however, have been left behind.

So the scholarship players on Marquette’s basketball team came up with an idea: They’d pool some of their NIL money and give it to their walk-ons 🥺

During their annual Christmas banquet, a few of the seniors present $1,000 checks to non-scholarship athletes.

"I’m just grateful to have teammates that really care about you," Cameron Brown, one of the first recipients said. "They understand that they get all this money and you don’t receive NIL money from a collective or anything like that. And they are willing to sacrifice that to pour back into us. It just shows how much they care."
