Northwest Oregon Chapter Blessings in a Backpack

The Blessings in a Backpack Northwest Oregon Chapter builds on the amazing work of Take Action INC (TAI). Also part of the chapter is Alder School in Portland.
Founded over ten years ago to feed elementary-school children in the community, TAI grew to serve over 2,000 kids in 51 schools in Northwest Oregon. To support further expansion and growth, Blessings in a Backpack and TAI joined forces as of April 1, 2020, as the Blessings in a Backpack Northwest Oregon Chapter. Hello Friends! It's been a while since our last post but we are back 😀 and looking forward to using facebook to keep you updated and engaged in our mission to feed 930 local kids on the weekends!

We need your help! Each July, Grocery Outlet stores conduct a fundraising event, designed to help fight hunger. Your local Grocery Outlet store has agreed to dedicate all they raise this year to our organization - 100% of all the funds raised at this event will be used to feed local children. Greeters make a big difference and we believe that having you raising funds to help the children at your school will send a very powerful message! By greeting arriving customers, from a safe distance, and asking them to consider making a donation at check out thousands of dollars have been raised to support our program and we know this year can be our best year yet!
