Today we are incredibly proud and honored to receive the Green Power Leadership Award for Leadership in Green Power Education, presented by the Center for Resource Solutions and EPA. https://resource-solutions.org/programs/gpla/

In the face of intensive educational barriers due to the COVID-19 pandemic, BEF's CE program, along with partners such as the , , Constellation, Allegheny Intermediate Unit, and , our Clean Energy Fellows, and educators across the country, all pivoted to meet the challenges of the moment to inspire students and keep them engaged with resources and materials despite not being in their typical classroom setting.

At a time when many narratives centered around learning loss, our CE staff kicked into high gear to provide learning materials and resources to students in their homes, provide educators with effective distance learning tools, and provide support to our Clean Energy Fellows.

CE's Sr. Director explored a virtual conference tech experience while on panel with & on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in Renewable Energy at Virtual Oregon Solar Energy Conference hosted by
Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association.

We took a closer look at real-world industry practices, including the virtual conference platform technology used at OSEC. Digitalization of business and linkage to the rollout of clean technology provides an opportunity to design innovations to be more inclusive and avoid the "source code error" of embedding inequities into advanced energy technology and communications. While jobs in the renewable energy fields continue to grow at a rapid pace according to the IREA, women and people of color still can't seem to break through the "PV" ceiling. Finally, alliances are starting to form to try to address a cultural shift in the RE field, and many organizations are launching their own internal DEI teams and even fully employed positions.
