Fruitdee, a business all the way from the Sasin Institute of Business Technology in Bangkok, Thailand, brought its revolutionary idea to the 2013 New Venture Championship. Their team developed a way to manufacture fresh Longan juice into a prebiotic sweetener. Since then, Fruitdee has worked with local farmers to become a supplier of many agricultural products. NVC aims to promote ideas that create a positive change, and Fruitdee has found a way to benefit its consumers' gut health and support sustainable farming practices. They made their impact.

Ellen Brune and her all-women’s team from the University of Arkansas created a way to reduce the amount of waste during the manufacturing of protein drugs. Currently, 30 percent of the materials used are pure, while the rest goes to waste. With the creation of the Lotus platform, Brune and her team are working to change this process so 99.9 percent of the materials are pure. This team had potential, and the 2012 New Venture Championship brought their vision to life. If you step into the arena with confidence, it could be the stepping stone for your team’s success as well.
