💌 This week we took a lovely sunshiny stroll through the neighborhood to our local post office to mail letters to our loved ones at home! We practiced counting out change, asking the post office clerk for a stamp and dropping our envelopes in the mail.

We are super excited to offer to EVERYONE that we are the benefactors of a round of CPR and Emergency Response Training by Wild Med! Wild Med's Mission: Learn to prevent and treat a wide range of common illnesses and injuries in 10-20 minutes/day for 21 days so you can head off on adventures feeling the peace of mind that comes from being prepared.

This course is for all people and is commonly taken by parents, teachers, camp counselors, nature-based leaders, farmers, alternative healthcare practitioners, and more. You are just 21 days away from having the skills to prevent emergencies and effectively respond to those that can not be prevented. Imagine setting off on adventures, feeling relaxed, self-reliant, and ready for anything!

The course costs just $97, and HSP receives all proceeds! We will allocate the funds towards replacing our aging outdoor wooden play structure, creating a safe, inclusive space that supports active play, cooperation, and confidence through outdoor learning.

This month we snuggled up for pajama day at HSP! We all donned our coziest jammies, brought along our favorite stuffy, enjoyed squeezing our own orange juice and playing in the dark of our very own fort!

This week we were leaf detectives! 🍁🔍 We took a stroll around the neighborhood to hunt for maple, ginkgo and oak leaves which we’ll use for some fun fall art projects! 🍂

How do we help preschoolers feel ready for the school year? Teacher home visits! 🍎🏡

At Hancock Street Preschool our teachers look forward to the week before school starts each year. They visit each new student’s home and spend time getting to know them and sharing their excitement to have them in class. Students enjoy showing their teacher their favorite toys and books and talking about the fun things they’ll do together at school!
