Our school is teaming up with Double Good Popcorn for a fundraiser that begins Monday, April 27th. This is a virtual fundraiser – there is no door-to-door selling or cash handling. Everything is online and ships directly to customers!
Students will basically be running their own mini-business. They will create a virtual pop-up store where they are in charge of marketing and selling and can keep track of sales in real time.
The money raised will go to student activities (like our PBIS Celebrations & year-end events) and rewards (like our monthly perfect attendance popcorn). The top selling Advisory class will win doughnuts and the top seller will get their choice of lunch on us! Plus, the top 3 sellers will get to pie a staff member in the face!
The fundraiser will run from April 27th to May 4th. Scan the QR code on the flyer to start selling!

February is Black History Month—an important time to celebrate the achievements, innovation, and leadership of African Americans, while also reflecting on the ongoing work toward equity and justice in our country. Black history is American history, and it is filled with stories of courage, creativity, perseverance, and brilliance that continue to shape our world today.
At AOMS, we are especially proud to be home to the district’s first middle school Black Student Union (BSU), which launched last year. Our BSU members have been researching Black inventors and the powerful impact their ideas and creations have had on everyday life—many of which we benefit from without even realizing it.
We encourage families to take time this month to explore and discuss the contributions of African Americans in civil rights, science, politics, the arts, business, athletics, and beyond. Together, we can continue to ensure that the full story of American history is recognized, honored, and celebrated.

This is the last week to donate to this year's Scots Angel!
Each year, our school community comes together through the Scots Angel fundraiser to support a family facing an unexpected medical crisis. This year, our support goes to Tucker Santillanes, who was critically injured in a football game against DDHS. Tucker suffered a severe spinal injury, spent nearly three months in the hospital, and now lives with partial paralysis. His family is remodeling their home to make it accessible and faces ongoing medical and rehabilitation expenses.
Over the past couple of weeks, Alice Ott students have been taking part in an Advisory competition to donate the most change/bills. All contributions are due this Friday, February 20th, and the Advisory class that raises the most will win a popcorn party!
