Reed College Canyon Reed canyon is a 28-acre headwater forest located in the center of Reed College in SE Portland.
The Canyon runs east to west, dividing the campus north from south, and is spanned by two pedestrian bridges and a land bridge. To all our friends near and far-
Following state guidance, Reed will be closing the campus to everyone except current students, faculty, and staff members beginning on August 3. This closure, which will remain in effect until further notice, encompasses the entire campus, including the library and other facilities, parking lots, lawns, sports fields, canyon trails, off-leash dog areas, and the Reed ski cabin on Mount Hood. This extraordinary measure is a step the college must take for the health of the Reed community. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding and look forward to the day when we can welcome alumni back to campus.
