New Orleans Video 07/17/2022

Catching up on my videos. Today I share my trip to New Orleans. I am undecided on how to document my very short trip in LA, the train ride there, and my current time in S. Oregon. There are chickens though.

Time to assess life goals!

For my 40th birthday I am asking my party guests to come up with awesome mid-life crisis ideas so I can evaluate & prototype some crazy ideas in the next decade. Since they get to come in costume, bring a prop, or share a poem to represent the mid-life crisis I wanted to open it up to others. Instead of birthday wishes or presents - share an awesome idea. (No creepy leaving a spouse I don’t have or things guaranteed to get this post banned by Facebook please).

Nah, hokey poke this island
That, I’m all about

Leslie Day!!!

On a beautiful summer day, I lay on a bench in Fort Tryon Park Trust and became entranced with the patterns the tree canopy made. A year and a half later, after filming and photographing throughout the year, I bring you this short doc featuring naturalist and author Leslie Day. She shares the science of trees and her personal experience about the intrinsic worth of connecting with nature. She also touches upon the topic of w/not trees communicate with one another.

LOOK UP! VISIONS FROM UNDER THE CANOPY Directed by Amala Lane. Featured in the 2017 Inwood Film Festival LONG SHORTS - C on Saturday, March 18 at 7:05pm. Get Tix: http://bit.ly/2kNmdjn

Yeah...and this surprises...? I mean...we took their outside play spaces...then restricted the interior ones....then scheduled them out of social space...and freak out about online spaces...

Lets remove children from influence and be surprised by their inability to cope!

BANNING BECAUSE NO RESILIENCE

Schools are having to resort to banning games such as tag and skipping because many children either can't share or can't handle losing.

Over-protective parents are being blamed for the lack of resilience.

The schools are offering psychologist-run resilience programs to help parents teach kids how to handle life's up and downs.

TELL TODAY - should we just let the kids sort it out? Is this over the top?
