A note from outgoing President Nicole Williams after our last meeting--

Tonight was my last PTA meeting as President of the Whitman PTA. It’s a bittersweet moment as we also welcome some exciting changes to our leadership team. Former Secretary Felisa Salvago-Keyes will be stepping into the role of Whitman PTA President, and Kelly Bieksha will be taking over as Secretary. Our Treasurer, James Stobie, will remain in his role, as it is a two-year position. We are currently looking for someone to serve as Vice President as we continue building a strong and supportive PTA community.

I’ve been part of the Whitman community since 2022, when I first joined as the SUN Site Manager. Over the years, Whitman has become more than just a school community to me — it has been a place of connection, growth, and care. As my child, Evangeline, graduates this year, this transition feels especially emotional. While I may no longer have the same day-to-day reasons to visit Whitman, I know this community will always hold a special place in my heart, and I still plan to stay involved in some capacity.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. It has truly been an honor to serve.

Whitman SUN is also set for closure at the end of the year. If your kids love SUN... they could write a letter. It can be as simple is i like sun because of basketball or I love sun and draw a sun

Even though I am not the SUN site manager anymore... and no longer the PTA president next year. Please do. And they can be turned into the front office.

Our LAST PTA meeting of the year is this Thursday, May 14.
This will be a hybrid meeting! In person at school, with an online option.
We will have a potluck at 5:30, meeting 6-7. Please bring a dish or item to share if you're able. The whole family is welcome; we're working to secure childcare during the meeting. If your child is at SUN that day, we'll have someone there from 5-5:30 to stay with kids until the potluck.
