Congratulations to alumna Jenny Conway Guggenheim '01 on being selected to help First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden, prepare The White House for the holidays.
Jenny here- I have really exciting news to share with you; our clients, supporters, family & friends, and colleagues from afar! It's my birthday, and with yesterday's news of the government shutdown averted, I felt today was as good as any to finally let you know I was selected to help prepare The White House for the holidays! A very good friend of mine nudged me to apply (thank you, Emily!) so I figured I'd do it, never hear anything about it again, and continue with normal holiday festivities here in Portland. I dug way back to my days with Ms. Housley to write a heartfelt essay and, well, it worked! I'll be joining other folks from across the US to transform the People's House for the upcoming holiday season.
I'm the proud daughter of US Marine Sgt. James R. Conway, and I'd like to dedicate this opportunity in his memory. He always said my mom liked to turn our house into Macy's department store for the holiday's and now I can put that history to good use. Mom and Dad, I'll make you proud!
