Two years, three months, and sixteen days ago, I started working at OCOM. While we’ve had many rounds of goodbyes recently, today felt the heaviest. There aren’t words to express how much I will miss our students, staff and faculty—so if I’ve tried to force food upon you in the last few weeks, please know that you are so special to me.
For today’s giveaway on campus, I brought in a lot of my own crystals and rocks to give away to our community. I’d like to think that a little part of me is with you, wishing you all of the best as you continue your journey.
I hope that you want to stay connected (I’m in the OCOM Alumni Facebook group!). It has been an honor and a privilege to have been a part of this magnificent history.
For those of you wondering about the yearbooks—they are arriving VERY SOON and I’ll let you know when I’ll be on campus for you to pick them up! They must be picked up by September 30th (my last official day).
With gratitude,
Marilyn

Thank you for all your support throughout my time at OCOM. I aspire to be as inspiring a representative of our profession as all of you who have generously dedicated yourself to Acupuncture and Chinese medicine education. As my first step in the process of taking this training out into the world, I am excited to embark on a journey to Nepal to volunteer in a rural health clinic with the Acupuncture Relief Project in November and December. To learn more about my personal motivation and goals for serving in Nepal and integrating this experience into my future practice, see the link below to my GoFundMe.
You have all offered so much and it is my great hope that I can continue the cycle of generosity and support in the realms of education and patient-centered care. I am excited to share updates and stories of my volunteer endeavor on Facebook and through Instagram (@ Aralia_the_Alchemist). You are welcome to join the virtual journey!
Thanks for all your knowledge and support!

A huuuuuuge congratulations to Brian Lee on officially becoming a licensed acupuncturist! 🥳 Brian has been an incredible part of OCOM's story (as a student, TA, medicinary, Patient Services Team)--you'll find him doing everything, everywhere! We are so excited for the next part of his journey. We know he's impacted so many people along the way, and we'd love for you to share your memories and well-wishes in the comments. YAY BRIAN!!!

Acupuncture needles are very very thin—they’re roughly ten times smaller than a medical syringe, and roughly two times larger than a human hair!
OCOM’s clinic will be open through August. Help our student interns hone their craft by scheduling an acupuncture, shiatsu, or herbal consultation appointment today! $25-45 per appointment, and sliding scale fees are available to those who qualify.

Every single dollar of this campaign will provide additional financial support to OCOM’s faculty and staff, on top of their severance. They have worked tirelessly to support our students and one another, especially over the course of the last few months. Every donation matters.
