Look at these SIXTH graders! Our fifth graders celebrated their completion of Lower School yesterday with a special ceremony. They paraded through campus, received diplomas, and sang songs for an audience of family and friends. We are so proud of these students for how much they've grown in Maternelle and Lower School. We have no doubt they are ready to do amazing things in middle school.

A big end-of-year highlight for students, families, and teachers is our Maternelle performances, and last week's shows did not disappoint! Our preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten students shared songs and stories that showcased just how much their language skills have grown throughout the year. Our beautiful new Maternelle spaces provided the perfect backdrop for these special celebrations, and we couldn't be prouder of all that our students have accomplished this year.

Every day in TPS is the best day, but Thursday was extra special! ๐Ÿ Our youngest learners got to have a goat visit during outdoor play in Discovery Park. Students had the chance to pet, feed, and even hold the friendly goats. In TPS, learning happens everywhere, through exploration, hands-on experiences, and play. Watching our students discover new things and embrace the world around them is one of the best parts of TPS.

Global Mindset Moment: This week was our third-grade field studies trip to the Oregon Coast! Over three days, students explored ocean ecosystems and arthropods through hands-on exploration and discovery. The trip also included plenty of fun like playing on the beach and at camp, as well as a stop for ice cream at the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Third grade is our students' first overnight educational trip, helping them build independence, strengthen community, and bring classroom learning to life. It's also an important step in preparing students for the longer trips in fourth and fifth grade.

As they wrap up Lower School, fifth graders are taking time to reflect on how far they've come. Students in Sandra's class are making digital books, capturing everything they've done in fifth grade. From the France trip to the Exhibition and all the learning and growth along the way, these students have so much to celebrate as they get ready for the transition to Middle School.

These kindergarteners are ready for first grade! Students have made tremendous growth this year as readers, writers, and bilingual learners. They have developed strong letter and sound recognition skills and are now reading and writing words in both English and French. We are so proud of all they have accomplished this year and can't wait to see them continue to learn and grow as they move on to Lower School.

Our third graders put their creativity and collaboration skills to work by making their own animated short films in art class. Students worked in groups to develop story concepts, design LEGO sets and characters, and bring their ideas to life through animation. Weโ€™re so proud of what they created!

Our final international trip to share was the trip to China. Students visited Beijing, Xi'an, and Chengdu. They attended school and connected with local students. They visited the Great Wall and saw giant pandas. Most importantly, they immersed themselves in the language and culture, celebrating how much they've grown with their Mandarin skills in the last three years. The students had a blast and said they made unforgettable memories with their classmates and teachers.
