Greater Than 4th graders recently visited Mt. Hood Community College. These early introductions to college environments help make college feel real, possible, and within reach.

MAPS is a collaboration between PSU and Greater Than PDX that connects college student volunteers with students at Alder Elementary—sparking curiosity through gardening, STEM, and college exploration.

Recently, 8th grade students from Reynolds Middle School visited Mt. Hood Community College, where they explored campus and began to envision their futures beyond high school.

Early exposure to postsecondary opportunities plays an important role in shaping student aspirations and expanding what feels possible.

Literacy games, food, and family fun! All centered around building a love of reading.

At Alder Elementary’s Career Day, students met professionals from across our community representing fields like healthcare, environmental education, architecture, performing arts, and entrepreneurship.

Moments like these help students begin to imagine the many paths their future could take.

We loved supporting STEAM Night at Lincoln Street Elementary School this week!

Thank you to Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) and Hillsboro Water Department for helping bring hands-on science and learning opportunities to students and families. It was a great evening of curiosity, creativity, and community.

She has also served as a Student Success Coach and English Learner Specialist, with a strong focus on advancing equity, supporting student outcomes, and building meaningful partnerships with families and staff.
