🔢 Montessori Spindle Box
In this hands-on math lesson, children count out wooden spindles into compartments labeled with the numbers 0 to 9.
By counting and grasping these groups of spindles, children discover that:
✨ Numbers represent quantities of separate objects.
✨ Zero means “nothing here.”
As they bundle and place the spindles, children strengthen their number sense, one-to-one correspondence, and concentration. Plus, they literally experience the rhythm and feel of counting.
