Straws + paint + dish soap = the most satisfying art prints π«§π¨
We mix tempera paint, dish soap, and just a little water, then kids blow bubbles right in the cup. When the bubbles overflow, we lay paper on top and β magic. Every print is totally unique.
Process art at its best. No two look alike, and that's exactly the point. β¨
This is how we say goodbye. π
A run across the rainbow bridge. A gift from Teacher Kara. And one very loud bell. π Then we all meet in the park to celebrate!
Our preschool graduates walked into our school as caterpillars and they're leaving as butterflies β curious, kind, and so ready for what's next.
We love you to the moon and back. Thank you for the best year!
We can't wait to see you next year at our Friendship Party π

Our first summer playdate at Creston Park was so much fun!
New families, familiar faces, kids playing, and grownups getting to chat. This is exactly what summer is supposed to look like. π
Weβll be doing it all over again next Wednesday β this time at Lower Kenilworth Park, 10amβ12pm. All families with young children are welcome. Come as you are! πΏ
We said goodbye to our butterflies. π¦
We held them one last time, passed them around with the gentlest little hands, and then β we let them go.
There's something about that moment that feels bigger than butterflies. These kids have been transforming all year too. And soon, some of them will fly somewhere new.
We're not crying. Okay, maybe a little. π

These little ones have spent a whole school year learning, laughing, and growing together β and these hugs and snuggles say it all. π₯Ή
We are so proud of every single one of them. Wishing our friends the sweetest summer filled with sunshine, playdates, and all the good things. See you at the playground and KCP summer camp! βοΈ

End of year request: a table of shaving cream. No notes. π«§
We practiced drawing shapes and take turns saying "sometimes it looked likeβ¦" β a nod to the classic book. A blob becomes a butterfly. A squiggle becomes a snake. A smear becomes whatever they want to be.
They asked for it one last time. Of course we said yes.
This is what child-led exploration looks like π§
We set out big ice blocks and powdered tempera paint and just⦠stepped back. What followed was 45 minutes of mixing, melting, color theory, and pure joy.
Process over product, always. π¨

From tiny caterpillars to butterflies ready to take flight. π¦
Our preschoolers have been watching painted lady butterflies transform through every stage of their life cycle β egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, butterfly. And somewhere along the way, we couldn't help but notice: our kiddos have been transforming too.
They came to us small and curious. Now they're confident and ready for what's next β some of them spreading their wings all the way to kindergarten. πΏ
Watching both kinds of growth has been one of the most magical parts of this year.
