Let’s come together as a community to make sure PPS families have access to nutritious food.

Your donation will go directly to PPS families experiencing food insecurity, which is especially critical this season.

Too many of our families are facing food insecurity as a result of decreased access to SNAP and other government programs, and increased demand on Oregon Food Bank and other service providers.

The Fund for PPS has distributed more than $1 million in direct assistance to PPS families since 2020 by uniting our community to support our own.

The Glencoe PTA won't be doing a T-shirt sale this year, so the Centennial T-shirts the school is selling are your best bet for some Glencoe swag! The sale ends tomorrow!

They are SO cheap, too--$7.50 for a t-shirt. The website is...not awesome...but Glencoe Counselor Sara Gardner made a short video to show how to navigate it, and you pay through PayPal so it's secure.

Glencoe Community Care Day is this Saturday, August 17 from 10am to 12pm!

Join us to help spruce up our school for the new year! This event will include litter pick-up, mulching, and the like. Please bring water, gloves, and wear work clothes. We advise only bringing children if you're confident they will be able to keep themselves safe and entertained (or helpful!) close to you, otherwise this may not be the best event for kids.

We will have some light refreshments, volunteer liability forms, and tools available.

With the 2024-25 school year rapidly approaching, we wanted to provide you with information about your student’s first day.

Most PPS students will return to school on Tuesday, August 27 and Wednesday, August 28. There are some notable exceptions. See below for a detailed breakdown.

Pre-K – including Head Start – will begin Thursday, September 5.

Kindergarten begins Tuesday, September 3 - with Ramp Up days between August 27-30.

K-5 schools: All students in grades 1-5 start on August 27.

K8 schools: All students in grades 1-6 start on August 27*. Students in grades 7 and 8 will start on August 28.

Comprehensive middle schools: Students in grade 6 will start on August 27*. Students in grades 7 and 8 will begin on August 28.

Comprehensive and focus high schools: Students in grades 9 and 12 will begin on August 27**. Students in grades 10 and 11 start on August 28.

PPS Nutrition Services is happy to announce all students will be able to enjoy breakfast and lunch at no charge for the 2024-25 school year.

This opportunity is made possible in part by the expansion of federal eligibility and additional funds allocated by the state’s Student Success Act.

Families do not need to submit a free and reduced-price meal application. All PPS students are automatically enrolled in this program. For more information, visit pps.net/nutrition

Glencoe's 2024 Book Fair in partnership with local book store Linda Letra is May 21, May 22 and May 23 (today through Thursday) from 2:15 - 3:30pm!

Stop by after school on the Glencoe stage and purchase books for your family, gifts for others or pick up a book or two requested by teachers and staff for their libraries! 10% of all sales will be returned to Glencoe for book purchases for the library! Note that the fair cannot accept cash payments, sorry.

Glencoe's annual Plant Sale Fundraiser runs from now until 3pm this Friday!

Hanging baskets and starts for your flower garden are available on Memberhub (https://glencoe.memberhub.com).

-Order by 3pm Friday, April 5th.
-Plants will be delivered to Glencoe on Wednesday, May 1st, for pick up after school.
-Funds raised will go toward the general PTA fund, which provides teacher stipends, library books, and other support for our school community.
