Since 1985 the Aesthetics Institute has been successfully preparing its students to
the highest standards of education by offering comprehensive programs of study
licensed by the Oregon State Department of Education. Our highly structured and
interactive courses give our students the tools to succeed in today's competitive
marketplace. The Aesthetics Institute's Esthetician (skin care) program has
been instructing its
students in both the naturopathic and modern techniques of skin care. Over the
years the program has grown and developed with the acquisition of state of the art
esthetician technology, as well as recent progress in esthetician practices in an
effort to stay current with todays fast pace service industry. We offer a basic esthetics and master esthetics course to allow the student to
choose the level of education to fulfill their needs. For those uncertain about a
career in esthetics the basics program offers the student the opportunity to gain
exposure to the fundamentals of skin care while, the masters program is a more
intense and in-depth course that covers a broader spectrum of skin care. For 22 years the Aesthetics Institute offers one of the most extensive and sought
after electrology program in the Greater Northwest Region. Since the beginning of
the Institute's conception, Cynthia Mendoza has been teaching the skills that made
her successful in her private practice. At the Aesthetics Institute we staff highly qualified instructors. Mendoza is the founder and Director of Education at the Aesthetics Institute. She holds the prestigious CIDESCO International Diploma . She is a licensed
instructor for the Oregon Department of Education and she is an Esthetics America
Educator. With over 20 years of experiences as an Electrologist, Desirologist, Aesthetician,
owner of 3 clinics, Instructor, Curriculum Developer, Monique Raab, L.F.I., & L.N.I. Raab is an Aesthetics Institute graduate and has been licensed since 1999. She has been featured in the "NAILS" magazine after she received her license in
1999 as the youngest nail technology license holder in the United States. Attending schools both in the United States and South America she has broadened
her scope of practice and is bilingual. She was also accepted into a prestigious
medical school in Peru. Attending seminars as well as teaching them, Ms. Raab has a passion for
continued education and brings this passion to our curriculum. Raab is a Licensed Electrologist, Nail Technologist, & Esthetician. Raab
holds special certification in Medical Esthetics. Marketing Consultant, and
Business Appraiser, she offers her students invaluable and varied expertise. Mendoza had an affiliate school in Spain with one of her past graduates for
over a decade. She has been a guest lecturer for the dermatology department of Oregon Health
Sciences University, and also a regular columnist for a professional newsletter. She has conducted and instructed continuing education both nationally and
internationally. Mendoza is certified in Dr. Vodder's Lymph Drainage and Hypnosis, as well as
licensed in Aesthetics, Nail Technology, Hair Technology, Barbering, and
Electrology. She consistently travels around the nation attending conferences to keep the school
curriculum up to date.
