Portland State University researchers study the impact of Oregon’s drug decriminalization measure 06/28/2023

Christopher Campbell, associate professor of criminology and criminal justice at Portland State University co-authored a new study that finds Oregon's law enforcement officers frustrated with Measure 110 and confused about the role they are now expected to play. Campbell interviewed 23 police officers and sheriff’s deputies in three urban and three rural counties in Oregon along with his team.

Chronic homelessness drops in the Portland region. Here’s a look behind the numbers 05/29/2023

Marisa Zapata discusses the initial results from the Portland region’s 2023 homeless point-in-time count. Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington counties all showed that chronic homelessness is down 17% compared to last year.

Chronic homelessness drops in the Portland region. Here’s a look behind the numbers Initial results from the 2023 Portland region homeless point-in-time count are out and data from this year is promising. Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington counties all showed a drop in chronic homelessness. That number is down 17 percent, compared to 2022.
