MHCC Head Start Preschool for eligible families with children under 5 years old who live in East Multnomah County Some programs operate year-round.

Child development and family support services available for pregnant women and families of children age birth – 5 who are low income and reside in East Multnomah County outside Portland Public Schools. Services include comprehensive preschool and child care programs, home visits, parent and child activities, health screenings, meals, transportation, opportunities to volunteer, and parent involvement activities.

If you know a family with children under 5 years old or a pregnant woman living in East Multnomah County, please help us spread the word!

MHCC Head Start Preschool & Early Head Start Programs are currently accepting applications!

We currently have some available spots in Head Start classrooms supported by staff who speak English, Burmese, Spanish, and Arabic.

Our programs offer:

MHCC Head Start Preschool is actively accepting applications for children who are ages 3 to under 5 years old as of September 1.
