Many different cultures gathered at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Puyallup, Washington, on Aug. 22 for the All Peoples Summit. President Mike Von Behren opened with Psalm 62, communities read Revelation 7 in their own languages (Latino, Mayan, Sudanese, Cheyenne, Kenyan, Burmese, Karen, and Marshallese), and lunch brought pupusas and new friendships. The day also included sharing joys and struggles as immigrant or minority cultures in the Pacific Northwest. Read all about it! 👇️

Merciful Father, we praise You for Your abundant compassion and for the forgiveness You have poured out upon us through Your Son, Jesus Christ. You do not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. As far as the heavens are above the earth, so great is Your love toward those who fear You.

What happens when youth groups from all over the Portland region come together for one weekend? ROOTED. Hosted by Trinity Hillsboro and other NOW District churches, this Oct. 2-4 retreat at Camp Lutherwood is built around a simple hope: that students grow in their own group's faith while also being shaped by the wider gathering around them. Let's celebrate together! 🥳 On Sunday, August 23, Grace Lutheran Church and School in Pocatello, Idaho, was blessed to install teacher Hannah Schauer. They also commissioned DCE Intern Rileigh Watts and the GLS/GLHS teachers and staff for the 2026-2027 school year. What a day of celebration!
