April is officially upon us and that means it’s time for our annual fundraiser to help protect our planet within our own community. We are partnering with a local nonprofit and will be celebrating with them on APRIL 26th 2-5, for a day of dancing, exploring, and food together!

If you want to celebrate our Earth in another way, come on campus for our student-led fundraisers all month long! Check out stories for what’s happening each week!

Before you go, ask yourself:
🌿 What kind of environment helps me thrive?
💛What values matter most to me?
✂️Where do I want my career to grow?
 
Choose 1–3 non-negotiables… What do you need to feel supported and successful?
 
Do a little research. Bring 3–5 questions. Know your strengths.
 
You don’t need to be perfect, just prepared. Clarity now = confidence later. 💚

Career Fair is Monday! Here’s how to make the most of it…
 
1️⃣ Talk to everyone, even if they’re not on your list. Some question ideas:
What qualities do you look for in new professionals?
What does a typical first year look like on your team?

2️⃣ Understand the bigger picture.
How do salons and spas support each other?
What opportunities exist beyond assisting?
 
3️⃣ Question assumptions. Heard a rumor? Ask directly!
 
4️⃣ If it’s not the right fit, ask: What advice would you give someone just starting out? Then thank them and move on with grace.
 
5️⃣ Take notes between conversations.
What stood out? What energized you?
