Our Extended Day Program is going into its' second year!

Our purpose is simple: to expand access to explicit, high-dosage and systematic literacy instruction for children who need it most. We operate in two ways to reach more stduents beyond the traditional school day: after-school partnerships and virtual tutoring.

After school partners: We collaborate with schools and community organizations that have classroom space to host-in person literacy tutoring.

Virtual tutoring: Our trained tutors connect directly with families in a supportive online environment. Fall session starts September 14th. Link in bio to sign up.

"Reading Results has been so beneficial to our school and helping to push our readers to proficiency." - Instructional Coach, PPS

A big welcome back to school to our partner teachers who are preparing for the first day of school for our students. Our partnership with schools and teachers is so important. We work with classrooom teachers and instructional coaches to identify the students that could benefit the most from our program.

Let's keeping working to close the literact gap.

Meet Sara, our Director of Human Resources! Sara began working for Reading Results in 2018 as a Tutor, moving to an office assistant role in 2022, and has been in her current role since 2025. She enjoys reading (obviously!), mending, and playing with her cat Milo.

Her favorite current book is Hungerstone by Kat Dunn and her favorite childhood book is Bedtime for Frances by Russell Hoban. Underneath the photo and her favorite things is a quote, "Literacy skills are crucial life skills! I work for Reading Results to make a difference in young people’s lives and to build a better future for all of us."

2025-2026 Reading Results Recap!

This year, we served 1,485 students across 40 partners including Extended Day Programs! We couldn't have done this without our team of 135 Tutors.
We also welcomed:
⭐Heather Lenon and Cady Tolon Macaulay as Co-Executive Directors
⭐Extended Day Program
⭐Two New School Districts

It was a great year, and we are already working behind the scenes on the 2026-2027 school year.

This school year, our average 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders all met grade-level expectations and are reading with an accuracy rate of 95% or higher.

This is significant because accurate reading is essential to comprehension!

Starting June 25 and 28, six commemorative bottles will be hidden across Oregon. Oregon BottleDrop will share clues to lead bottle hunters to each bottle hidden across Orefon.

The lucky winners will get to keep the bottle and select a Bottle Drop Give partner (hopefully, Reading Results) to receive a $1,000 donation!

Reading Reuslts: Game Changer!

During the 25-26 school year, our average kindergartner started recognizing 17 letter names and sounds and eneded the year knowing ALL their letter names and sounds as well as reading CVC words and words with blends.

This is a SIGNIFICANT change for students as it represents the difference between knowing a few one-off letters and being able to decode many of the words necessary for early reading.

We're so proud of the work our kindergartners put in this school year!
