Bringing Waldorf inspired education to toddlers and preschoolers is our passion and we are excited to bring our programming to PFA

February at Singing Brook Kinship | We thanked King Winter for a beautiful snow day. We baked muffins together, made Pink Hummus, had red and pink crafts inspired by love and music. And we enjoyed a Valentine’s Tea Party with our friends and teachers 💕💕

These handmade Cinnamon dough ornaments were one of our favorite crafts from this holiday season! The children were invited to explore their senses through one-on-one craft time with our school founder, Sahra. It was such a joy to watch them feel the dough, smell the fresh scent of cinnamon, and choose what holiday shape they would like their ornament to be! We hope everyone enjoyed their time with families, the Winter Solstice and time of Advent ❄️

Solstice Candles ✨

We infuse the holiday season with traditions and celebrations that create rich memories for us for many years to come.

We love making our Solstice Candles with beeswax sheets and cotton wicks. A special activity children do one at a time with a teacher or our founder, Sahra.

Children select the color candle they wish to make, feel the honeycomb pattern, smell the golden honey scent and touch the cotton wick that they will be inviting fire fairies to dance on soon. We roll them in glitter to give them that extra special sparkle and then candles go home to be lit on solstice eve!

The dwindling light of autumn brings fourth the opportunity to cultivate our own inner light to guide us as we move into the darkness of winter. Our light shines brightly and grows as we gather together Illuminating the way for all who need it.

Our Annual Lantern Walk celebrates the inner light we each possess and have to share. A little lantern to house our inner light makes for a beautiful tangible and visual tool to remind us of this as we gather, walk and sing as a community.

you have once again brought literal magic to Sweet River Bamboo. Your connection to nature, the creative process and the playful wonder within is a gift to us all. Thank you for creating Willow Den for us. We love her!

It has been such a joy to have this beautiful creation in our play garden! The Willow Den has brought so much wonder and imagination to the children. We love to go on adventures and look for fairies while in this magical space. What a delight to watch its transformation as we move through the seasons! 🍃🍁🌱

We had such a GOURD-geous time with our sweet community at the Pumpkin Patch! We cherish our time spent together picking pumpkins, playing in the corn maze and saying hello to the farm animals 🎃🍂

We cherish the essence of song at Sweet River! Our daily rhythm is enriched by music and our monthly Seasonal Circle Songs are dearly loved by everyone. We sing together all day!

Our teachers often bring instruments into kinships for children to explore their sounds and play them. Music is deeply nourishing to the soul and is an essential part of our Wholistic Education 🎶

Monday is our Baking Day!

On Mondays, we bake muffins together to eat for our lunch! We are always so excited to see what we will be mixing in our muffins on these days - will it be big, juicy blueberries? Mango in the summertime? Pumpkin and spices in the Fall? The children love to add the flour, fruits, eggs, and all the ingredients that mix together and create our warm, fluffy muffins for our Monday lunch!
