We're pleased to announce that our wine classes have matured into some new exciting developments!
After 18 years in the wine business, Dave is getting certified this summer as a personal property appraiser with a specialty in wine - one of only 8 wine appraisers in the country, to our knowledge.
But what is a wine appraiser? Say you have a wine cellar and need to know how much your bottles are worth for a variety of reasons - perhaps you're moving and want to insure your collection, perhaps you want to sell off some of your collection and buy other bottles, or even in the case of a divorce if you need to divide up the bottles or liquidate them.
Since the value of bottles is very fluid and depends on many factors such as bottle condition, economic factors and wine trends, it takes a seasoned wine expert to accurately determine your collection's worth.
Dave will also be doing cellar consulting, (i.e. helping people decide what to drink now and what to lay down for later), wine relocation services, and personal sommelier services.
If you are or happen to know someone that may need these type of services, please let us know by emailing us or calling us at 971-998-3884. Please also take a moment to visit our new website - www.winevaluationnw.com and let us know what you think!
Thanks for all your support over the years - we'll be updating this page regularly with valuable wine info, recipes, pairings and more! Please feel free to share with your friends! Thank you!

This is an amazing article about what may be the largest case of fine-wine fraud in history!

A Vintage Crime
Collecting vintage Burgundies, Rudy Kurniawan drove the rare-wine market to new heights, then began selling his treasures. Or so it seemed. Michael Steinberger uncorks what may be the largest case of fine-wine fraud in history. Portrait by Todd Eberle.

It's been quite a while since we've posted on our page! But similar to wine stored in a cellar, there's been a lot of activity going on under the surface. Just like a wine that evolves in the bottle over time, our business is changing and growing as well. We have some exciting announcements to make over the next few days, but first we want to hear from you! What have you been up to? Tasted any interesting wines lately or had any fun wine and food-related adventures?
