The ultimate test of the week! 🕵️‍♂️

After a week of learning the ropes, our students faced the "Sabotage Lab." While they were on break, instructors introduced errors into their wiring, and the students had to use their new troubleshooting skills to find the fix.

Congratulations to our "Power Up" class on completing this introductory week! We’re proud of their hard work. Thank you to the PGE Foundation for funding this vital window into the world of the electrical union!

Thursday is always a favorite—conduit bending! 🛠️ Today, students got to try their hand at 90-degree bends, offsets, and saddles. It’s a great way to see how math and physical labor come together in the field.
This "Power Up" class is designed to give a realistic look at the craft, helping participants decide if they want to pursue a full apprenticeship. A big shoutout to the portlandgeneral PGE Foundation for providing the materials & other resources for this week’s hands-on experience!

We are moving fast! 📐 Today, our "Power Up" students got a real-world look at what it takes to build professional raceway installations. They moved ahead of schedule, learning how to draw out basic electrical circuits and then getting the chance to actually wire them up per code.

This exploratory week is all about giving folks the hands-on experience they need to decide their next career move. Thank you, Portland General PGE Foundation, for supporting this "test drive" of the electrical industry!

Class is officially in session! ⚡️ Today, our "Power Up: Introduction to Electrical Trades" students hit the books before hitting the tools. We’re diving deep into electrical theory, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and—most importantly—the safety standards that keep pros safe on the job.
Huge thanks to the PGE Foundation for funding this cohort and empowering the next generation of skilled workers!

The future of the trade is looking bright! ⚡️ Our Limited Energy Class A apprentices crushed their latest lab, practicing a complex security integration.

This system features a high-performance 8-zone Bosch panel, fully loaded with PIR sensors, door/window contacts, glass break detection, and panic inputs. They even took it a step further by integrating a relay contact to trigger lighting whenever the door or garage opens.

Precision, safety, and technical skill on full display. Nice job, everyone!
