We are excited to announce the award of a new patent for an enhancement to the ThermaChannel stud. It will feature foam insulation in the fl**ge cavity. We will be testing this new design this year and will post a photo as soon as we have a prototype.

Long suspected, ThermaChannel is investigating the acoustical benefit of our stud designs for exterior walls. Mainly thought of as an exterior wall product, the acoustical performance could make ThermaChannel an interior framing product, as well.

Just concluded another mock-up test wall of 6" studs of varying gauges (14, 16, 18), with 5/8" Certainteed Drywall, and Certainteed GlasRock sheathing. According to framers, all went well.
