“When I photograph, what I’m really doing is seeking answers to things.”

Love this quote and all it represents about the exploratory nature of photography!

I recently received a message from someone who found me through and his Six Figure Photography podcast!

I interviewed with Ben in 2018 and I was so excited to hear that the information is still helping photographers today!

In the podcast, I talk about managing multiple photography brands. Our discussion is filled with all sorts of amazing tidbits about branding, working with associate photographers, and how to know when it’s time to create a new brand.

Listen through the link in my stories 👀 and then continue listening because Ben’s podcast is gold!

How you pose your couples allows you to tell their story. Incorporating a variety of poses allows every frame to become a special moment.

Sometimes the stories we make can be told in a single image. Other times the story comes together over multiple images.

What stories are you trying to tell in your posing? To deliver the best service to our couples this is such an important thing for every photographer to ask themselves.

“Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still.”

~Dorothea Lange

A little inspiration for your Friday. Hope you are all savoring time with family and friends (and photographing those moments of course!) 😍📸

Picture this, you’ve got ten deadlines, an inbox that never goes to zero, and new clients knocking at your door. You’re overwhelmed and things are beginning to become a little too much. It happens to us all but there are a few steps you can take to make all this a little more manageable.

Here are three ways to help you work ON your business, not IN your business. ⬇️

🌟Set customer expectations and have clear communication. Most people will understand that photography is a craft and takes time if you set expectations up front. Clear communication is key to making sure you deliver on your promises and don’t overextend yourself.

🌟Find time each week to set your priorities and block out time on your schedule. That way you follow through on your goals even when something comes up last-minute.

🌟put email away, hide your phone and set a timer. With 24/7 access to everyone all the time it can be easy to jump from text to email to phone call and see hours tick by. If you know something distracts you, make it harder to have your attention pulled away.

This is a big one! If you’re trying to market to everyone, you’ll reach no one.👏🏽

If you’re marketing is stalling or you’re not getting your dream clients, chances are you need to look at who your ideal customer is. I work with my mentees on creating their ICA (ideal client avatar) so they know just who to market to— bonus; it makes marketing so much easier!

Refine this and you’ll be well on your way to attaining the clients that make your heart sing!
