I just returned from leading my second workshop of the year in the Palouse area of Eastern Washington. In August, the fields are many shades of gold and brown and the harvest is happening. One morning I took the group out to this old elevator and we had some magical skies and light happening! After completing some still photography, I launched my drone and took a few aerial shots. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! The Palouse is magical any time of year you visit and I'm already looking forward to my workshops there in 2027. https://johnpedersenphoto.com

I've got a couple of spots open for my August trip to the Palouse (Spring sold out sorry!). I have to admit that the harvest time in the Palouse is my favorite time photographically! Spring is nice, but during August, the creative possibilities and the artistic challenges are incredible! So much more color, texture, shapes to play with to create a composition. 2025 workshops are done and I'm already looking forward to 2026. Once again I'm returning to Olympic National Park to lead a small group through this amazing landscape.
