Hello nature friends - I want to let you know that our group is not currently meeting. If we resume, we will plan to post again here. I hope for joyful nature learning for all your families this year!

For the beauty of the earth,
For the beauty of the skies,
For the Love which from our birth
Over and around us lies:
Christ, our God, to Thee we raise
This our Sacrifice of Praise.

We are having a Hands-On Workshop this Saturday from 10am - 1:30pm. Students will make and erupt their own volcanoes, and learn about Mount St. Helens. Fun for the whole family.

We still have room, but need to hear from you right away if you'd like to come. Please email us at [email protected]

A 2-Hour Dose of Nature Each Week Could Make You Happier and Healthier 05/17/2021

"Those who spent two hours in nature, whether that happened in one trip or several smaller visits to a park, were significantly more likely to report better health and well-being than those who spent less time outside."

A 2-Hour Dose of Nature Each Week Could Make You Happier and Healthier Forget your complicated and expensive wellness regime and just . . . go outside.

Here is the schedule for the rest of our planned Spring Nature Walks, learning about God's beautiful creation!

We are planning to meet this coming week, April 24th. NO nature walk May 3rd. Then we are planning to meet May 10, 17, 24, and 31st. All meetings are on Mondays at 2pm at the Columbia Children's Arboretum.

This is a Christian homeschool outdoor nature study in Northeast Portland. Frequent activities we have done are nature hunts, Bible verses, poetry, songs, classic art study, storytime and nature journaling. Our activities are often loosely guided by the Exploring Nature With Children curriculum.

We meet at the Meadow Lane entrance on the east side of the park. (Please use the link below for directions as google will take you to the other entrance).
These are free, family drop-in events - parents are responsible for their own children. My own children are early elementary age but all ages are welcome.
