When children are young they experience the world through their senses. (Touching,tasting,hearing,smelling,seeing.) Creating puppets for the toddlers in my class allows them to be active participants in storytime. I’m so excited to share a special valentine tale with them.

I have been telling the Mitten Story by Jan Brett as a puppet play. The children love to recreate the story over and over again. Using the soft wool felted and animals. Such a cozy story during the cold and chilly month.

Birthday Fairy is hard at work⭐️

Today we played with wool roving in warm soapy water. Washing the wool, feeling the textures change and splashing in the bubbles was a wonderful sensory experience for the children.
