🎬 Digital Storytelling at Cascade Parent Partnership
Storytelling has always been one of the most powerful ways for young people to understand the world around them. At our filmmaking classes at students are learning how to turn ideas into powerful visual stories through digital filmmaking.
In a time when so much of our communication happens through video and media, digital storytelling gives students the tools to express their voice, collaborate with peers, and think creatively about the stories they want to tell. From developing characters and writing scripts to filming scenes and editing their final projects, students experience the full creative process.
🎥 Why it matters now:
• Builds creativity and confidence
• Encourages collaboration and communication
• Develops media literacy and critical thinking
• Gives students real-world digital production skills
• Provides a positive outlet for self-expression
In the classroom, filmmaking becomes more than just learning how to use a camera. It’s about teamwork, imagination, and discovering how stories can connect us.
We’re proud to bring hands-on filmmaking and digital storytelling into schools and help students find their voice behind the camera.

Portland Film Camp has grown into something truly special. What started as a handful of passionate young filmmakers is now an incredible youth program dedicated to supporting young voices, bold stories, and creative confidence.
Our instructors pour their hearts into mentoring, teaching, and empowering students, and our filmmakers show up with imagination, courage, and a willingness to lead. Watching students step into roles as directors, writers, actors, and crew members is what makes this community so inspiring.
This isn’t just a camp. It’s a place where creativity is taken seriously, collaboration is celebrated, and young voices are heard. We’re so proud of our instructors and students for building something so meaningful together.
🎥💥 The future of filmmaking is bright, and it’s happening right here in Portland.
