For over 23 years, Polaris Dance Theatre has been a vibrant hub for artistic collaboration, teaching, gathering, and performance—sharing our mission: “Through dance, we awaken the heart and enhance our humanity.” We remain committed to providing a safe, joyful, and welcoming space for all, regardless of race, age, ability, gender, religion, or socio-economic status.

Our young dancers build strength, skills, and confidence while developing teamwork and problem-solving. Participants who face challenges due to age or disability find community, connection, and healing through movement. Our scholarships and sliding-scale fees ensure that everyone can engage in the way that best suits them.

This year at Polaris Dance Theatre highlights include the growth of our Senior Dance program, the launch of Liminal Movement Collective a BIPOC dance company sponsored and mentored by Polaris, countless classes and performances and an aggressive fundraising effort to save our space in Portland.

We must not stop our momentum! With your support, we can continue to meet essential operating costs and serve as a beacon of creativity and connection in Portland.
