Cross Bayou Elementary

We celebrated four of our outstanding 5th grade bobcats at the Pride Award ceremony last night. These students earned awards for Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies. Congratulations to Layla, Jackson, Kenny and Brianna! 🐾

Our talented All County Concert performers got to sing at Mahaffey Theater on Saturday and we are so proud of them! Congratulations Layla, Janelle and Maikol! Special thanks to Mrs. Nunez-Caicedo for preparing them for the performance.

Congratulations to our Carwise Award winner, Janelle! She attended the awards ceremony tonight with Mrs. Wilson and had a great time. 🐾

Four of our bobcats went to the PCS Leadership Summit this week! They learned how to work together to complete a task and had a blast. Special thanks to Ms. Chrosniak and Mrs. Robert for taking them to USF St. Pete for the summit.

Please join us for a community meeting tonight. We'll hear from district leadership, and you'll have a chance to ask questions about the proposed changes that will impact our school community. We'll begin at 6:00 in the Cross Bayou cafeteria. Hope to see you there!

Don't forget that tomorrow is Spring Picture Day! We will take individual and class pictures. Can't wait to see those big bobcat smiles tomorrow!

Families, if you are cleaning out closets in the coming days, please consider donating gently used children's shorts, pants, and leggings to the office for our students when they need a change of clothes. We are running low on little kids' clothes (VPK-2nd grade sized) and appreciate any help you can give. We also encourage families to send an extra set of clothes in your child's backpack in case of emergency. If your child has needed a change of clothes in the past, please wash the loaners and return them to the office so we can use them again when needed. Thank you, as always, for your support.

The Grinch visited Cross Bayou yesterday! Luckily, all of our Bobcats are on the nice list.

Our first graders had a Dental Health lesson yesterday. Parents, ask your kids about Mr. Randy's Super Smile!

Our bobcats have been busy! Last week our 2nd graders and our DHH students joined the 4th and 5th grade bobcat chorus for a winter concert here at school and then our bobcat chorus performed at the Pinellas Park holiday festival on Friday night. 🎄
