🎼 Faculty Spotlight — Shunyin Wang | Collaborative Piano & Composition

We are delighted to welcome composer, pianist, and educator Shunyin Wang to the faculty of Adria Music Academy this summer in Kotor, Montenegro.

Based in Shanghai, Shunyin serves as a composition professor at the Nanjing University of the Arts Affiliated Middle School and teaches piano and music theory at Shanghai KMEG–Royal College of Music. She is a graduate of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and holds a Master’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music in New York.

As a composer, Shunyin has participated in internationally recognized contemporary music festivals including the Darmstadt Festival, Ostrava Days, and the Etchings Festival. Her works have been performed throughout the United States, Europe, and China by ensembles such as Load Bang, Either/Or Ensemble, and Sforzando Composers Collective.

An active chamber musician and highly sought-after collaborative pianist, she has appeared at major festivals and venues across China and the United States, including the Beijing New Music Festival, Tribeca New Music Festival, and the Spring of Shanghai Festival. She has collaborated with distinguished artists, including Charles Neidich and Ayako Oshima, and performs regularly with clarinet virtuoso Vasko Dukovski.

At Adria Music Academy, Shunyin will work closely with students in collaborative piano, chamber music, and composition, bringing a uniquely versatile artistic perspective to the program.

We are thrilled to welcome her to our inaugural faculty and look forward to the creativity and inspiration she will bring to Kotor this summer.

🎻 Faculty Spotlight — Igor Pikayzen | Violin & Chamber Music

We are proud to welcome violinist Igor Pikayzen to the faculty of Adria Music Academy this summer in Kotor, Montenegro.

An internationally acclaimed soloist, Igor has performed with leading orchestras and appeared in major concert halls across Europe, Asia, and the United States. Known for his compelling artistry and commanding stage presence, he is widely recognized as one of the most exciting violinists of his generation.

Recently featured in The Strad, Igor was appointed to the violin faculty of the Cleveland Institute of Music, marking an important milestone in his career and further establishing him as a leading voice among today’s performers and educators.

As Co-Artistic Director of Adria Music Academy, Igor plays a central role in shaping the musical direction of the Academy.

At the Academy, he will work closely with students in both solo violin and chamber music, guiding them through an intensive and inspiring week of music-making.

We are thrilled to conclude our faculty series with Igor and look forward to the extraordinary energy and leadership he will bring to our inaugural summer in Kotor.

🎹 Faculty Spotlight — Ilinka Manova | Piano & Artistic Director

We are delighted to introduce pianist Ilinka Manova, Founder and Artistic Director of Adria Music Academy, to the faculty of this summer’s inaugural program in Kotor, Montenegro.

An internationally active soloist and chamber musician, Ilinka has performed across Europe, Asia, and the United States, appearing in major venues and collaborating with distinguished artists. She is a dedicated pedagogue and serves on the faculty of the Mannes Prep School of Music at The New School, where she works closely with a new generation of pianists.

Adria Music Academy reflects her artistic vision: a thoughtfully curated and intimate program where young musicians grow through close mentorship, chamber collaboration, and meaningful performance experiences in an inspiring setting.

Throughout the week, Ilinka will be closely involved in all aspects of the Academy, working directly with students in piano and chamber music, and shaping both the artistic and daily life of the program.

We look forward to welcoming a wonderful group of young artists to Kotor this summer.

🎻 Faculty Spotlight — Ezgi Pikayzen | Viola & Chamber Music

We are delighted to welcome violist Ezgi Pikayzen to the faculty of Adria Music Academy this summer in Kotor, Montenegro.

A native of Izmir, Turkey, Ezgi performs regularly at some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall, the Vienna Musikverein, and David Geffen Hall. In 2025 alone, she appeared with the Utopia Orchestra at major venues such as the Berlin Philharmonie, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, and the Salzburg Festival, further establishing her as an internationally sought-after musician.

As a soloist, Ezgi has performed with orchestras across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, and is also an active chamber musician appearing at leading international festivals. Alongside her performing career, she is a dedicated educator and serves on the chamber music faculty at the Lamont School of Music.

At Adria Music Academy, Ezgi will guide students in both viola and chamber music, working closely with young musicians in an inspiring and collaborative environment.

🎹 Faculty Spotlight — Evgenia Pilyavina | Piano

We are delighted to welcome pianist Evgenia Pilyavina to the faculty of Adria Music Academy this summer in Kotor, Montenegro.

Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Evgenia began piano studies at age 6 and later continued her education at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music after moving to the United States. Among her notable achievements are winning the First Chopin Competition in New York and making her debut at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall.

As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed at major venues including Alice Tully Hall, Steinway Hall, Merkin Hall, and Weill Recital Hall in New York, and has appeared internationally across Europe, the United States, and Israel. She is also a founding member of the Barton Piano Quartet and the founder and artistic director of the Music Academy for Young Artists (MAYA).

A passionate educator, Evgenia serves on the piano faculty at the École Internationale de Genève and the Nyon Conservatory, where her students have achieved recognition in numerous international competitions.

At Adria Music Academy, Evgenia will mentor young pianists through private lessons, chamber music collaborations, and performances throughout the festival.

We are thrilled to welcome her to our faculty and look forward to the artistry and inspiration she will bring to our students.

🎶 Faculty Spotlight — Vasko Dukovski | Clarinet

We are thrilled to welcome Macedonian clarinet virtuoso and composer Vasko Dukovski to the faculty of Adria Music Academy this summer in Kotor, Montenegro.

Based in Shanghai, Dukovski is a Distinguished Clarinet Professor at the Nanjing University of the Arts and has previously taught at programs including the Juilliard School Global Initiative, MAP – Music Advancement Program, the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College (CUNY), and the Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts.

An internationally active performer, Dukovski is known for his virtuosic interpretations of contemporary music and has premiered more than 300 new works. He has collaborated with leading ensembles including the International Contemporary Ensemble, Bang on a Can All-Stars, and Metropolis Ensemble, and has performed with orchestras such as the Phoenix Symphony and Suzhou Symphony Orchestra. His work also bridges genres, bringing him to the stage with artists ranging from John Batiste to Jacob Collier.

A Juilliard graduate and recipient of numerous international awards, Dukovski has recorded more than 30 albums for labels including Deutsche Grammophon, Naxos, and New Focus Recordings. In 2022, he was named an “Outstanding Foreign Expert” by Nanjing University of the Arts for his contributions to music education and performance.

At Adria Music Academy, Vasko will mentor young clarinetists through lessons, chamber music, and performances during the academy week.

We are excited to welcome him to our inaugural faculty and look forward to the creativity and energy he will bring to Kotor this summer.

🎻 Faculty Spotlight — Nil Kocamangil | Cello

We are thrilled to welcome internationally acclaimed Turkish cellist Nil Kocamangil to the faculty of Adria Music Academy this summer in Kotor, Montenegro.

Born in Istanbul, Nil has established herself as one of the leading cellists of her generation, performing as a soloist and chamber musician in major venues such as the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Tonhalle Düsseldorf, and Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris. She has appeared at renowned festivals including the Verbier Festival and the Istanbul Music Festival, and has collaborated with distinguished artists across Europe and beyond.

A passionate educator as well as performer, Nil is currently an Associate Professor at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory in Istanbul and the founder and artistic director of the Istanbul International Chamber Music Festival and Music Academy.

At Adria Music Academy, Nil will mentor young cellists through private lessons, chamber music, and performances in the beautiful Adriatic setting of Kotor.

We are truly excited to welcome her to our inaugural faculty and look forward to the inspiring musical energy she will bring to the Academy.
