ity College Foundation was established in 1981 to provide the resources that students require for success. The Foundation is dedicated to supporting the College by fostering a culture of philanthropy, growing the endowment, and providing financial support for long-term institutional priorities that could not be achieved without private funds. Access to the educational opportunities provided through scholarships can serve as the path to economic security, and this is especially true for low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students. The RCC Foundation awards over $200,000 annually to deserving students. Additional support is provided by the Foundation to the College to ensure that students get the highest-quality educational experiences.

RCC's own Dr. Meghan Nolan is taking the stage!

Dr. Meghan Nolan, Associate Professor of English and Chair of the Sam Draper Honors Program, will be a featured poet at Poets Who Teach, Teachers Who Write on Tuesday, August 25, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Finkelstein Memorial Library in Spring Valley.

Curated by Rockland County Poet Laureate Juan Pablo Mobili, the event brings together Rockland County educators to share their work and take part in a Q&A about their craft, their vision and what calls them to teach.

Join us this Saturday, August 22, 9 a.m - 12:30 p.m. for a special walk-in session and work one-on-one with the Rockland Community College Financial Aid team to complete your FAFSA application.

No registration is required. Please bring your 2024 tax forms.

RCC welcomed 35 incoming Arthur O. Eve Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) students to campus this week for orientation ahead of the fall semester.

Launched at RCC in 2023, EOP helps make college more affordable and accessible for students from low-income families, many of whom are the first in their families to attend college. Through financial aid, tuition assistance and need-based scholarships, the program has served over 200 RCC students to date, with many going on to transfer to four-year colleges.

Enrollment is open to students who meet the program’s academic and financial-need requirements.

Welcome to our 2026-27 Student Trustee, Misha Daberkow!

Misha is a Business Administration student who serves as president of the Conservative Club and the National Society of Leadership and Success, as well as vice president of leadership for the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

As Student Trustee, Misha's mission is to be a strong, unwavering voice for every RCC student. Regardless of the issue or the audience, he is committed to showing up, speaking out, and ensuring that students' voices are heard.

RCC is pleased to welcome Ernst Valery to our Board of Trustees following his appointment by Governor Kathy Hochul.

Valery will serve a term through June 30, 2029, bringing extensive leadership experience in real estate development, higher education and community-focused investment to the College.

It's Community College Month in Rockland County!

RCC was honored yesterday by the Rockland County Legislature in recognition of our longstanding contributions to the community.

Accepting the proclamation on behalf of the College were Dr. Ian Wolf, Chief of Staff to the President, along with three recent graduates - Teona Peikrishvili '26, Sol Braver ‘26, and Valery Dutan Guartan '26.

For 67 years, RCC has provided accessible, affordable, and high-quality education while strengthening the workforce of Rockland County.

Another great night at Clover Stadium!
The 3rd Annual Alumni, Employees & Friends Night brought together the RCC community to enjoy New York Boulders baseball while supporting our students and the RCC Foundation. President Dr. Bill Mullaney threw out the ceremonial first pitch, Rocky entertained the crowd, and a spectacular fireworks show capped off the evening.
