Take a look back at BMCC's Business Study Abroad experience in India! 🇮🇳
This video highlights the transformative learning experiences our students gained through BUS 476: Social Entrepreneurship in Developing Economies, led by Professor Shamira Malekar. During their visit to EIILM-Kolkata (Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management), students participated in a panel discussion and engaged in meaningful conversations that expanded their global perspectives while exploring the intersection of business, innovation, and social impact.

BMCC and the Fulbright Association are launching something we've never offered before: the Global Leadership & Diplomacy Certificate, a six-week program built around live sessions with Fulbright Alumni and global leaders working across international law, cultural diplomacy, and crisis leadership.
This is the founding cohort. It's built for emerging professionals, students, and aspiring Fulbrighters who want to lead across borders, not just study them.
What's included:
✅ 12 hours of instruction plus a 12-hour live Scholar Speaker Series
✅ A joint Certificate of Completion from BMCC and the Fulbright Association
✅ A global leadership plan and lifetime alumni network access

From the Scottish Highlands to the historic streets of London, BMCC students brought astronomy to life during an unforgettable 13-day study abroad experience for AST 110: General Astronomy. ðŸ”✨
Through immersive visits to Kielder Observatory, the Royal Observatory Greenwich, the Science Museum, the History of Science Museum in Oxford, Stonehenge, and the historic universities of Oxford and Cambridge, students explored the connections between astronomy, science, history, and culture while gaining new global perspectives beyond the classroom.

BMCC proudly welcomed the inaugural cohort of the My Sister's Keeper (MSK) Summer Connect Program to campus, launching a new initiative designed to support incoming women students as they begin their college journey.
The program combines leadership development, mentorship, academic support, and community building through a collaborative effort between the Urban Male Leadership Academy (UMLA), the Elizabeth Margaritis Butson Women's Center, the Center for Belonging and Inclusion, and the Women in STEM Initiative. We look forward to seeing this inaugural cohort grow, connect, and thrive throughout the summer and academic year.

The BMCC Signature Ensemble was honored to serve as the featured musical performers at the groundbreaking ceremony for the future 2 World Trade Center, just steps from BMCC's Fiterman Hall.
The performance celebrated a historic milestone in the continued transformation of Lower Manhattan while showcasing the talent of our students and alumni.
Congratulations to Music Professor Dr. Eugenia Oi Yan Yau and the BMCC Signature Ensemble for representing the College and our downtown community on this meaningful occasion.

As part of BUS 476: Social Entrepreneurship in Developing Economies, BMCC students explored the intersection of business, innovation, and social impact during a study abroad experience in Kolkata, India.
Led by Professor Shamira Malekar of BMCC’s Department of Business Management, students visited EIILM-Kolkata, where they engaged with faculty, students, and academic leaders, including Prof. (Dr.) Rama Prosad Banerjee, Chairman and Director of EIILM-Kolkata. The experience provided valuable insight into entrepreneurship, economic development, and the global exchange of ideas. Vice President for Enrollment Management Dr. Sanjay Ramdath also visited students during the program, underscoring BMCC’s commitment to expanding global learning opportunities.

BMCC marked a new chapter in its global engagement efforts with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with City of Glasgow College in Scotland, creating new opportunities for collaboration, academic exchange, and student success.
Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Liesl Jones signed the agreement on behalf of BMCC alongside Dr. Paul Little CBE, Principal and Chief Executive Officer of City of Glasgow College. Vice President for Enrollment Management Dr. Sanjay Ramdath and Lord Provost of Glasgow Dr. Jacqueline McLaren were also present for the signing ceremony.
The partnership reflects BMCC’s continued commitment to building meaningful international relationships that enrich teaching, learning, and global engagement.
