The City College of New York Steel Bridge Club is a student organization whose goal is to design, fabricate and construct a steel bridge to compete in the ASCE/AISC Steel Bridge Competition. The bridge is entirely student designed and fabrication costs are usually supplemented by independent sponsors in and around the New York City area. The project culminates in the production of a steel structure that meets client specifications (set each year by the sponsoring agencies) and optimizes performance and economy.
